Investment Partners

The foundation of our business model is earned equity in our Investment Partners (we are not a fund of funds), which better aligns interests between us, them, and investors. We can also co-invest alongside our Partners.

Cranemere was founded by Vincent Mai, former Chairman & CEO of private equity firm, AEA Investors. Vincent started Cranemere with the deeply held belief that a new approach to acquiring middle market companies  was needed—one that would attract and meet the needs of the highest quality family or founder owned companies, provide long-term investors with better returns, and benefit society by building companies of enduring value.

Uprising is a venture firm founded by Andy Lam, Saad Khan, and Tabreez Verjee to invest in mission-driven technology entrepreneurs pursuing epic endeavors that matter. Today's most exciting technology companies are reshaping health, disrupting education, impacting the environment, democratizing access, and empowering people in unprecedented ways. Some of Uprising’s investments include Lyft, Change.org, Lending Club, GoodEggs, Zopa, PeerIQ, Upworthy, AltSchool, ClassDojo, and Minerva.

Founded by Jacob Haar and Michael Hokenson (previously co-founders of Minlam), Community Investment Management is the first impact investment firm focused on marketplace lending. CIM provides responsible and transparent debt financing to small businesses throughout the United States in partnership with a select group of technology-driven lenders. Together they believe small businesses are critical to economic growth, job creation, and the health and sustainability of local communities.
